Jesus feeds 5000. It’s a wonderful story of the power and provision of Christ.
If 5000 people would pursue Christ today the same way as in the story, what would you say or think about them?
(They apparently traveled unprepared or unable to buy their own food. They weren’t sure where they were going or when they’d be back. If they couldn’t afford their own food, shouldn’t they have been working? I mean some must have skipped work, how irresponsible. Insert sarcasm)
I ask this question with sincere wonderment. These people pursued Jesus to a place where no one but Him (Jesus) could provide. Maybe we lack the provision of Christ because we only travel as far as our own means will take us? Do we truly hunger after righteousness of Christ? All out, appear insane, in the pursuit of God?
Join in the journey of Jesus. He will provide. He will never let you thirst. For He promises if we drink of HIM we will never thirst again. Pursue God. He will never disappoint.
